Bulk Billed Podiatry Appointments (Medicare Only)
What are bulk billed appointments?
Bulk billed podiatry appointments are when the podiatrist accepts the rebate offered by Medicare as the full fee for the service. As a result there is NO GAP FEE for patients to pay for the consultation.
In some cases, where additional services are required, there may be some out-of-pocket expense. However this will be discussed with the treating podiatrist.
Am I eligible through Medicare?
In order to receive bulk billed appointments you required a valid referral from your doctor as part of a GP Management Plan. This is commonly known as an Enhance Primary Care (EPC) Plan, or a Team Care Arrangement (TCA).
To qualify for this plan your GP will identify that you have a chronic medical condition or complex care needs, and will benefit from having a plan developed.
When can I attend bulk billed appointments?
Here at Active Care Podiatry we accept EPC patients at a reduced fee. That way there are no out-of-pocket expenses for our clients.
Our clinic offers bulk billed appointments through Medicare from 9am until 4pm on weekdays.
Please note. Payment equal to the medicare rebate must be provided by the patient to Active Care Podiatry on the day of the appointment. Medicare will then reimburse the cost of the appointment to the patient.
To book a bulk billed appointment call our clinic on (07) 3823 5423, and our reception staff will ensure the appropriate booking is made for you.
